IFFPSS World Facial Plastic Surgery Symposium
Facial Plastic Surgery World Congress 2026 – Lisbon
As part of the Facial Plastic Surgery World Congress 2026, jointly organised by the EAFPS and the IFFPSS in Lisbon this July, we are pleased to announce a major scientific initiative designed to highlight the strength and diversity of the global facial plastic surgery community.
A dedicated congress room will host the IFFPSS World Facial Plastic Surgery Symposium, running across two full days within the main meeting.
This format will bring together all 16 IFFPSS member societies and academies, creating a unique global platform for scientific exchange and collaboration.
Structure
- Each member society will be allocated one hour
- A total of 8 societies per day, over two days
- Each session will be entirely organised by the respective society
Session Format (per society – 60 minutes)
- Opening interview (up to 5 minutes):
A brief conversation with the society’s representative focusing on its evolution, identity and future vision. - Scientific programme (55 minutes):
Lectures or presentations selected and designed independently by each society.
Societies have full autonomy regarding format, speakers and topics.
Summit Award
To enhance engagement and recognise excellence, a World Symposium Award will be presented to the society demonstrating the strongest overall scientific and educational performance.
- Evaluation criteria will be clearly defined and communicated in advance
- An independent scientific jury will oversee the process
- The framework will ensure transparency and absence of bias
Coordination with Member Societies
Each IFFPSS member society/academy will be invited to submit:
- A session coordinator
- The list of speakers (number at the society’s discretion)
- The selected topics and programme format
A Shared Vision
This initiative is designed to strengthen the visibility and cohesion of the IFFPSS community, while offering participants an exceptional opportunity to experience the diversity, innovation and leadership of facial plastic surgery worldwide.
The Lisbon World Congress will serve not only as a scientific meeting of the highest level, but also as a celebration of international collaboration and collegiality within our specialty.
